The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is one of the best no annual fee business cards currently available due to its competitive multipliers. One key advantage is that it’s highly flexible, whether you’re interested in cash back or travel.

Earn $350 when you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months and an additional $400 when you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first six months after account opening.

Point Multipliers

The main value prop of the card is you earn 5% back on your first $25,000 in combined spend each card member year at:

  • Office supply stores
  • Internet
  • Cable
  • Phone services

Earn 2% cash back on the first $25,000 on combined spend each card member year at:

  • Gas stations
  • Restaurants

Optimal Strategy

Given the earn rate, I would use the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card for the 5% and 2% categories.

Ink Business Cash® Credit Card also works well with a Chase set up – in conjunction with the Chase Trifecta, for example.

Redeeming Points

The card earns Ultimate Reward (UR) points that are marketed as cash back. This means that 5% is really 5x.

At a minimum, points are worth 1 cent per point (1 CPP), so 5x = 5%.

With other Chase cards, points can be worth 1.25 CPP to 1.5 CPP towards travel or through the “Pay Yourself Back” program. This means 5x would be worth 6.25 to 7.5% in value.

With the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, and Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card, you can transfer points to Chase’s airline and hotel partners for potentially more value (i.e., towards first and business class flights).

Alternatives

If you’re not a fan of the categories and would prefer a catch-all solution, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card would be a better pick. This card earns 1.5% (1.5x UR) on all your transactions.

Main Takeaway

The Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is one of the best no-annual fee options available that has competitive multipliers for common business categories. The cash back earned is in points and has substantial upside if used in conjunction with other Chase cards.
